Vintage…it’s everywhere and you definitely could see it at Ty and Mandi Chasey’s wedding at the Grand Valley State University’s Alumni House (located in Allendale, Michigan) on September 10, 2011 (9-10-11)
Mandi’s dress was champagne (like a blush pink) and her colors were chocolate brown and pale pink. She also wore a bird cage for her hair piece, I think she pulled it off perfectly (hard to do). Her bouquet matched the soft vintage tones of her wedding theme as well.
I just love it when our Complete Brides are DIY-ers. Her mom made the centerpieces using silk flowers and Victorian hat boxes. Continuing the DIY theme, Ty,the now husband, built the table for their sand ceremony and the podium for the readings. Take a peek at her wedding!

Jessica Laidlaw and Brian Whitehead were married on September 10, 2011 at Cliff Cave County Park, St. Louis, Missouri and held their reception at Andre’s
South. What we loved about their wedding was the creative way they had their guests sign their wedding book. It wasn’t a book per say but more of a tree with their guests’ thumb
prints to make the leaves of their wedding tree. This now hangs in their house to always remind the wonderful guests that shared their very special wedding day.

Complete Music Video Photo of St. Louis had the privilege of being able to provide the DJ and video service for Melanie Dickens and Nicholas Oberkrom wedding. The adorable couple was married on June 11, 2011 at Saint Cecilia Catholic Church with the reception at The Christy. Melanie and Nicholas had a military wedding since Nicholas is an officer in the United States Navy and so are his groomsmen. They were dressed in their military whites and branded swords as the couple came out of the church. It isn’t often we get to see this romantic wedding tradition so we are happy that Melanie and Nicholas wanted to share their special day with all of us.
As we looked through their photos we couldn’t help but fall in love with the rest of their wedding. From their centerpieces made with large plume feathers, which Melanie did herself, to the rock candy party favors that doubled as place settings (all because Nick and she are addicted to candy). We thought our Complete Couples would fall in love too.

Since there were so many pictures we wanted to highlight and not enough space in a newsletter we are also going to feature Mr. and Mrs. Oberkrom’s wedding in our blog “Bride on the Rocks” so stay tuned. (You’ll fall in love with the cake!)

Eric and Crystal Trautman were married August 20, 2011 at First Presbyterian Church of Ferguson
Their reception was held at Andre’s South. Many brides spend months finding the perfect shoe for their wedding dress just to have it hiding by layers upon layers of clothes, and Crystal didn’t want that to happen to her, “As long as I can remember, I always wanted a short or tea-length dress for my wedding so I could show off my gorgeous shoes. I hunted and hunted for the dress and found nothing so I knew I was going to have to buy a regular dress and have it all cut off – and that’s exactly what I did!” We also thought Crystal’s centerpieces were pretty original and what we loved was she and her mother made them all!
We at Complete Music Video Photo are all about our couples making their wedding all about them and finding creative and fun ways to express themselves on their most special day.

Kathryn Ladano and Martin LePage were married in Elora, Ontario on June 11 with their reception in Kitchener, Ontario with Complete Music DJ-ing their wedding. She and her husband didn’t want a traditional wedding cake with the white frosting and ornate bride and groom statue. Instead they opted for a unique cake that was more reflective of them. So they had a Super Mario Brothers cake designed by Alex Lambert. Staying true to being unique, Kathryn walked down the aisle in a red dress! We just love the way our brides make their wedding a day they’ll remember and love for life!

Lauren K. Robards married Adam Reynolds at The Provincial House Chapel at the University of Missouri on June 18th, 2011. Their reception was at the Heman Park Community Center. We are featuring Lauren’s beautiful dress to which she had the train extended a whole yard to create this cascading effect down the chapel stairs. She found her dress at Bridal Connections in Florissant, Missouri. The dress is by Moonlight Bridal. What we especially love is that she took an amazing dress and made it her own by the extension of the train and made it uniquely hers.

Bailey Grose of Vancover had a cake-tastic cupcake cake made by Anna Elizabeth Cakes. The beautiful detailing of each individual flower and nameplate is what captured our attention for Completely Local and we just had to share with the rest of you!
